Force 120 rough idle

I have a 1996 Force 120 that will run so rough at idle, it will shut itself off. It will only do that at idle. It runs great in drive/reverse. What should I do?

Set proper idle speed. I think 750-800 rpms.

Make sure you have a good set of plugs that aren't fouled. If they are fouled, then check the fuel enrichment solenoid. If it is leaking, it will allow more gas than necessary into the intake causing an overly rich mixture.

If they aren't fouled check the spark at each plug. If spark looks OK, then perform a compression check on each cylinder.
