I had to rebuild my lower unit over the winter season, today while I tried to install the unit I found that there is a thin back flexible tube which is not refered to at all in the manual. It comes out right at the front of the lower unit in front of the shifter pole. I can find no place to plug this in. In the manual they refer to a water hose that appearantly should have stayed with the middle unit when the lower unti is pulled away. My problem is that I did not take the lower unit out myself so I have no idea where this came from.

Does anyonw know here this hose should go?

Thanks

Andre

Thin as in 1/8"inside diameter? Sounds like a pick up tube (or whatever its called) for a speedometer.

I don't have a speedometer so my tube just hangs there with a plug in the end. My pick up tube that is. I mean my speedometer pick up tube.

The water pipe from the waterpump to the powerhead is probably 3/4 inch diameter.

I would say it is about 1/8 of an inch but it is inside the lower unit. I do have a speedometer but the sensor is on the bottom part of the hull outside the engine, it goes from there streight to the speedometer.
