Does anyone have any experience with using Sea Foam in a higher hp Force outboard? I am wondering about de-carbonizing and using regularily in the gas mix to minimize engine problems over the long haul. I have owned two Force outboards in the past and not had a problem with either but never anything over 50 hp.

I have a 1999 90 HP force and started using "Mercury Quickqlean" (sp) in June and noticed a considerable decrease in the carbon buildup. I have heard nothing but good things about Seafoam - but the Mercury product is easier for me to pick up. I use Seafoam in all my air cooled engines - mower, chainsaw, etc with no complaints

I have a 90 hp 1990 FORCE and use MARVEL MYSTERY OIL in it per the request of my mechanic. It runs fine with no troubles. I only use a small amount with every fill up of course.

Funny, many Mercury manuals called for Sea Foam for all those years. Wonder if the Mercury brand is the same suff with a Mercury label?

I use it in my '95 70 hp a couple times a year.

I got hooked on it a few years ago when I thought I got bad gas in my van, but I couldn't get it to run right even after 2 fresh tanks of gas. It was running so bad that my mileage had dropped by 25%.

Sea Foam cleared it right up. Poured some down the throttle-body, some in the oil, and gas tank- used it a bit stronger for 100 miles, then a full tank at recommended srength. Presto!!
