I am a real novice since I have little, real experience with any outboard except a Johnson 40 HP 1989.<br /><br />If the engine has needle valves for the high and intermediate speeds could they be misadjusted? (Assumes the low speed needle valve is adjusted properly or if it is an orfice that it is the correct Part No. and properly seated.)<br /><br />If it has Orfices are they correctly seated? Could they be switched? (Assumes the orfices have different metering properties.)<br /><br />Is the choke open all the way at WOT?<br /><br />As I said I'm a novice so take the above with that in mind.
