Force 5hp problems

Used this motor last week and was fine . Took it out this weekend and had a hard time starting. Have to choke, prime,prime,prime,and full throttle to start . Once it does start the thing sounds like it is fireing every other time. Didnt dare to leave the dock .This motor is only a few years old. Ran great untill yesterday. Tried fresher, higher octaine gas and no improvement.Looks like it was getting good spark. Any suggestion's?

did you drain the gas last season and fog motor? If not you probably will have to rebuild and clean carb. You did not mention the year but as long as you have it apart it is best to buy the 15 dollar rebuild kit and replace the float needle and the seat. If it has a fuel pump you ahould rebuild that as well. Then change spark plugs and when it is running good do a decarb on it. good luck
