Force 70

Any particular bugs or advice about a 1992 Force 70? First time boat buyer looking at an Arima 15 with Force 70, both 1992. Boat in good condition. Not familiar with Force 70. Records indicate regular service on motor. Puget Sound and inland lake use. Appreciate any comments

take the boat for a long ride and see how it peforms on the water.take compression of all the cylinders. remove lower unit screw check oil ;must look like oil color ;not like coffe color.on the water check all speeds ;see how it idles;goes in reverse;the only other problem with force @merc. is there stator problems from 92 - 97 ;i know change my stator 3 times allready since 1994 good luck
