If you've removed anything else?
Make sure you seal it good.
The exhaust port covers, new gaskets still leak and cause problems.

jerryjerry05 how do i ensure the seal it good. Do i cover the gaskets with something if so what? I have seen evinrude repair videos where they use a evinrude brand gasket sealer, i do have some of that do you think that would work to cover the gaskets with that?

That's exactly what I use.
OMC's gasket sealer.
Expensive but great stuff.

For some reason?? I ALWAYS spill at least 1/2 can of the stuff ??
Make a mess and then cry about loosing $ :)

jerryjerry05 do i still put that stuff on the head gasket as well? I was told if the head gasket has some sort of a coating on it, than to not put that stuff on there. But it makes sense that i would. Thanks your for your help. Tremendously. Everyone!
Waiting on those gaskets cant wait to get this back together.

No gunk needed on the new gasket.

But you can save 35$ by using sillycone on a good gasket

If the old gasket is all there? silicone will work if the glue is melted off and you need to reuse
the old gasket.
