Hello,

I am looking to install a set of carbs from a 1990 90 HP Force onto a 1997 90 HP Force. Will they swap over okay? Thanks

Re: Force 90 Carb Swap

I had a look at the two models carbies, and one has a choke (1990) and one doesn't (1997) so I would say probably not, but you could interchange some parts one to the other, do you have a problem with your 97 carbies?

the 1990 actually does have the enricher valve just like the 1997. Are the carbs themselves the same? I'm 95% sure they are

Well one has the front butterfly for the choke and one doesn't, but they still may fit in, just wondering why you would want to.

So from those pictures, the only difference I see is the butterfly which you won't need by the looks of the parts list.

What's wrong with the ones you have?
99% of the time the carbs just need a good cleaning and replacing isin't needed.
If he has the enricher his carbs probably don't have the choke butterfly.

I actually have a motor with a blown powerhead so I was parting out whats left of it. I have someone that was interested in the carbs and was wondering if they will work for him

If they bolt up, they'd probably work.
They made a TON of different carbs for these motors.
Just make sure the bore on the carb is the same as the intake.
