force control cables

Hey guys Im new to the force outboard so I have a ? for you.
I just got a rebuilt 125hp force outboard YEAR 1987
ok So im setting up the control cables on the engine and I have come to a problem What cable do I use for the drive gear and what one for the gas.
From what I can see it looks like I should use the first cable that moves the drive gear and the second for the gas.Please learn me on this one.
