Force Controls

Wondering if a set of Controls from an earlier Force (chrysler) will work with the newer mercury force motors. I am selling a set of controls on ebay that were used with a 1980's 125 HP motor, and I have a prospective buyer asking if they will work with a 96 75 HP Force. I think that will but I am not sure and don't want to give this guy bad information. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

The 97 controls are from Mercury
They won't work on the older stuff and the old won't work on the new.
Some where around 94??/ They started using Merc. stuff.
