Force Drain Holes?

I have a 1987 85 HP I'm refurbishing. I took the aft leg cowling off, below the exhaust ports, internal to the cowling, are two holes. I think these holes are meant to be drain holes. The holes are fitted with two temporary plastic plugs. I think these plugs should have been removed but were not. Does anybody know if I should remove these plugs before re-assembly.

Model Number 856X7B. No mention of this cowling in the Seloc manual.

Look here and see if you can find these plugs. I didnt see anything like what you mentioned. I looked at the bottom of the the powerhead and the top of the motor leg.
Force motor

are you talking about the 2 holes about 6 in down from the cowling? if so then those plugs should be removed
on my 50 hp force water spits out of these holes while running
note: it is not a steady water flow but just spitting

Eurolav,

Yeah, they're there #9 on the motor leg. I looked last night at the same exploded view and missed them. I guess they belong there. Doesn't make much sense to me but I'll leave them in.

Sheaston,

Internal to the cowling, not the exhaust ports.

Thanks.
