I'm almost to this point. My little engine seems to want to put me through hellish fits of anguish trying to get it to pump water. If a water pump rebuild doesn't work, I'm calling the priest to try exorcism.

same here i have the same issue but i think a new pump etc AND T-STATS will take care of it . replace t-stats because a weak pump and a bad t-stat is hell to pay but when you replace a water pump and not the t-stat is stupid . some say just check the t-stat . but what it does in a pan of water and what it does on a running motor with engine viberation could be different so for a peice of mind spend the extra 20-40 dollars and you then no and not wonder .
