Was trying to get an impeller for the 1985 85 hp Force. Sierra part is 18-3030. Its shared with the larger motors that use the same lower unit, like the 120 hp. After calling retailer after retailer, and no one had it or could get it from their distributor, I found a retailer that had the Mallory equivalent part in stock. Part is about $12 so I ordered two. I did call Sierra, and they said the part is on back order with the manufacturer since May. So who knows when it will be produced.

So, if you want an impeller (and notice that iboats lists it as sold out) go for the Mallory part. This sort of part unavailability problem indicates to me that support for the older Force motors is coming to an end.

In a pinch, the newer impeller, 18-3017 for the 90 hp model might work with some modification. Dimensions of the 18-3030 part are 2- 1/4" diameter, 1 - 1/8" high. Part 18-3017 is 2 - 7/16" diameter, and 1- 5/16" high. They both have the same bore for the shaft. So part 18-3017 will fit if just trimmed down a bit in diameter and height. Just a thought.

Well when they're all gone then it's time to make an external electric water pump! Too bad I wont be able to seal the system.
