Re: Force L-Drive 120 backfire arrestor

The L drives and the sport jets are all outboard powerheads stuck on either the L drive or a jet pump.
I have always wondered how they could be legal. As far as I can tell, all those types of engines are dangerous in boats. Fuel drips out of carbs into the bilge, no flame arrestor, everything is against safety and coast guard standards set for inboard and IO boats. Yet they have been making them for years.

You need to put this in the Chrysler/Force section. But there is little chance other parts will fit. There are Chrysler parts around some right here at iboats.
When you post this in the Chrysler section be sure to tell us what parts you are looking for.

My guess is the reedvalves serve as flash supressers. If you think about it
under the hood of an outboard can be pretty gassy and there are no suppressers there.
