Is the force L-Drive a inboard or outboard. I know it's inside the boat, but it's a 2 stroke 4 cyl. & all the outdrive manuals have it in there

It's an outboard powerhead.

Its an inboard/outdrive.

Its a weird little hybred, nothing else out there like it.

Re: Force L-Drive 120 i/b or o/b

i myself actually have this 120 hp force L drive and it is considered a i/o (inboard/outboard) there are generally speaking 3 kinds of setups: outboards, I/O, and Inboard the way to determine the difference is an outboard has the whole motor and lower unit solid and united as one hanging of the transom, an I/O is in a compartment in the boat as is an inboard but the big difference is that the inboards prop is not used for steering at all as an I/O has the lower unit witch turns the boat using the propulsion of the prop the inboard has a rudder (i think thats the spelling or is it rutter?? u get the point) seperate from the prop
