I have an 89' bayliner capri with an 85hp force engine. The engine case started smoking while trolling the other day. We shut it off to cool then started it back up to make sure the water pump was working and it was. We took back off to another spot then resumed trolling and the same thing happened. We still fished for a few hours and tried to start it back up and it didn't want to start. We took the cover off and one person controlled the throttle while I cranked it. I finally started but didn't want too stay running. As soon as I put it in gear it wanted to stall but finally I got it moving but not very fast. If I would go over 5mph the engine would die. The engine buzzer I assume is not working, and I'm not sure if it's just an overheating problem or a fuel issue too. Please help.
