What would a clean original good running 1990 Force 125HP outboard be worth? +or-

Depends upon the demand for the engine and motivation of the seller.

Now for example: I have a beautiful running 1988 125. I would want 1500 for it, but I am not in a hurry to sell, indeed, I don't really care if I sell it or not. If someone needs it and wants it and comes to me, I will sell it.

BUT: For your 1500 you are getting a prime engine with controls, fresh lower unit oil, and a new water pump impeller and fuel pump diaphragm, mounted on your boat and test run on the water with you. I will also repair any damage NOT CAUSED BY YOUR NEGLIGENCE for the first season. And, I will include complete written starting, running and maintenance instructions if the buyer needs them.

So compare what you would be getting and adjust your price accordingly.

Damn Frank, you almost sold me on buying the engine and I don't have another boat to put it on!

Actually may be worth quite a lot, as 1989 was the last year they made the 125.
