 Hello all, ive been through alot of threads concerning water output from 120hp force outboards and still my lingering question remains. How much water should be discharging while engine has been running in the river for a few minutes? It seems like a spray, or a mist, its consistent with engine rpm. Im new to the force beast. And for craps and giggles, is it ok that it gurgles from the exaust outlet like a witches cauldren while running in the river. I thought it would divert out the "Tell Tale holes" while in the river. I mean it is coming out but i figure it would escape out more while the motor is submerged or am i being paranoid and its normal? thx

The spray mist is normal for the ports on the back. Those are reliefe ports.Your motor pumps way more water than it needs,so they installed a pressure relief system. The faster the motor runs the more water will pump out the relief ports.
If your motors ever been in salt, the valve could be stuck.NO PROBLEM.
The majority of the water exits through the prop/snout area.
Yup a lot of bubbles and smoke.
Yup paranoid,normal.J

The first thing I change when I get a motor that's been sitting for an unknown time is the impeller. The second thing is the fuel pump diaphragm. Cheap preventive maintenance.
