Ford 302 exhaust elbow

My engine isn't ready to use. I have not hooked up my exhaust manifolds or elbows. Y pipe has new flappers. Is it possible to use boat with the kicker or will my boat sink

I will add that my outdrive is in and all sealed as in bellows and gaskets

Ayuh,.... I wouldn't,..... The water level is right at, the top of the y-pipe,....

You'll be removing the drive BEFORE you install the engine, yes?

Ah, so you have the engine in, but with no manifolds on... The top of the y-pipe is open... Yeah, no! Do not put it in the water.

I'm in the middle of installing the manifolds right now . So if there on good to go ???

As long as the exhaust system is 'complete', ie nothing open, yeah, go for it.
