Good day. I am wondering on what to use for my thermostat. Boat has closed cooling. Any suggestions or a part number so I can get the right one

Ok...so is there a difference between vehicle and boat

yes

a boat motor:

raw water cooled and carbureted - 140F
Raw water cooled and EFI - 160F
Freshwater cooled and carbureted - 160F
Freshwater cooled and carbureted - 180F

a car motor
drag racing - 3/4" orifice plate
street/strip - 140F
carbureted - 180F
EFI (pre 1996) - 195F
EFI post 1996 - anywhere up to 230F

Numbers on back are 8m6003555. Is this correct. It is 160 degree and quicksilver

There is no bypass valve and my last one had it. Does that matter or shall I drill a small hole in iit

Ayuh,..... an 1/8" hole won't hurt a thing,....
