I was reading another post about forgetting to put a drain plug in a boat when launching and having to come back in...Before buying my pontoon ive always had either flatbottoms or regular V-hull boats and I've been through that putting hte boat in the water and having to pull it back out really quick cause i forgot the plug...That being said almost everytime I launch the pontoon for a split second after its in the water i think "oh crap i forgot the plug" then realize there is none and go on about my day.

Does anyone every have that kind of thing happen to them?

Re: Forgetting things.

Lists are great. We have dedicated storage for our boating stuff and it's all together on a shelf all by itself.

I worry about forgetting my boat keys the most! Hasn't happened yet!

Edit: I keep my hitch lock key on the same ring as my boat key. I might start keeping an extra set in my truck.

Well when I bought this bought like this summer the guy threw in a trailer lock. I keep it in a locked fully enclosed storage shed. When I got to the storage and got the boat all ready to go noticed i didn't have the key to the trailer lock. So I ran home real quick and grabbed the only key that might have been the one and my grinder. Good thing it was the right key or i would have been buying a new one that day.
