Do yourself a favor and get some of the FREE anti-virus software available on the net. AVG has a free version.

Do yourself a favor and get some of the FREE anti-virus software available on the net. AVG has a free version.

Avast is a good one also. That is what I use and it caught it, that is how I knew it was there.

Yup. Our IT guy is great!

But there is another shoe to drop.

We have (had?) several hundred members who used their screen name, "iboats", "forum" or "password"as their password. Not even a little bit smart. They got most, or all, of the spam/porn PMs.

If you are one of them, or if IT changed your password to protect you from the PMs, watch for a sticky explaining what, if anything, you need to do to be properly protected.

The ones with the simple passwords were the ones that were hacked and sending the spam/porn.

For those that actually opened the message and got spammed. Do you get pop up from various website now? If you do, you might have gotten MS Juan/Vundo trojan. That is a mean mofo, relatively new and took me a while to get rid of it. I don't know exactly how I got bit but it got me good.
