OK, I have a question. How much does the clutch have to be worn before it starts affecting shifting into gear? As I have said before, my little 6.6 wont go into forward. It goes into neutral and reverse really easy. My dogs on the gear are slightly worn and my clutch is too. I didnt know how much wear it takes before it affects engaging in gear vs just skipping trying to grab.

I will attach a drawn picture of what my clutch looks like from the side to give you an idea of how much it is worn.

The dogs on the gears are won about the same amount, maybe a little less. They are actually basically just rounded on the corners...not so much worn to a slant.

let me know what you guys think.

Re: forward gear problem

i bought the motor used so it was my first taking it out. I got the motor part running at home in a tank and replaced the normal stuff.

first lake test revealed this.

I have since adjusted the shift rod a little bit and flipped the clutch around and switched out the forward and reverse gears with each other because the reverse gear isnt worn much at all (its not used as much).

I will test it probably tomorrow and reveal the results on here.

thanks for the response.
