I found the forward tie down attached to a rope in the ski storage. I found where it goes and there's holes but no receptacles for the screws to tighten into how hard is this to fix? This is a 1990 Bayliner Capri 1800

Re: Forward Tie down

It's forward of the bow seats. Between the seats and the forward point of the boat. If that helps at all. Sorry not very familiar with boats. It's the tie down for the anchor.

I suggest that you take a photo and post it here. While we now have a better understanding of what you are talking about, its still hard to advise you with out seeing where the anchor line is supposed to be secured.

If you have more than one cleat on your bow, you can also just fasten the "bitter end" of the anchor line to that, set the anchor, and then make the line fast on the other cleat.
