Found '69 Starcraft, Should I restore or customize?

My Brother and I found this Starcraft on craigslist and saved it from the scrap yard. I dont know what model it is. The Floor is gone But the rest of the boat is in pretty good shape for a '69. The transom will probably need replacing too. Also alot of rivits. Our plan is to raise the floor a few inches, Put in a new fuel tank and a custom center console. and possibly a new splash well and some in floor storage hatches. Or restore the whole thing. Im not sure if we should restore it or customize it to our needs. Anyway, Heres some Pictures.

Josh that is a Super Sport . Hopefully you have the other console and windshield . I would say build what you want with it they are not tht rare especially down there in Super Sport Land Cheapboatkev finds supersports down there every other dy to torment himself with .

Welcome to the insanity of Starcraft boats!
Heck..since she is missing ( I assume) the port console, I'd go straight to CC..You can make a removable deck in the bow to fish from..You almost have a blank canvas, make it to suit your needs!

Gotta say there is a 18 ft SS in Naples that I want to go see tomorrow, I was have afraid to open your pics..Thought it may have been the one I'm eyeballin! lol

Thanks for the replies. No, I dont have the other console and window. Glad its nothing rare cause I think it would be a pretty nice CC. Hull is in amasing shape for the year, Theres not a scratch on it. The paint looks original, but its faded. Ive got a '76 johnson 70hp to put on her. I'll post some pics as I progress in the rebuild. Shouldnt take to long.

Josh it should make a nice CC make sure to start a resto thread down in the restoration forum . We are picture *****s around here and theres a pile of us doing up Starcrafts down there.

That will make a great center console and that Johnson 70 is a great motor for that hull. Good luck with your project.

Its 18', Im not sure of the beam. My brother and I have spent the last few days digging the floor up. It was Pretty nasty. The last owner said that the boat has been sitting in his yard for the last six years. There was a bunch of different kinds of foam under the rotten floor that was holding water. Now we just have to clean all the small chips out. Ill post more pics, and start a resto thread.
