Did this come factory? Never seen that before, I wonder how useful they are?

Using those mirrors to make a turn on the water has to be very difficult....and UNSAFE.

Haha, I didn't even notice that, all it needs is turn signals on the rear and it will be highway legal.

Yep, they were right from the factory like that. More then just that particular model, I believe. Not sure how useful they are. They don't have them anympre as far as I know.

I had a 1997 2150LSC and it came with them too, but I never used them, they do look cool though. My sister bought that boat from me and I up sized to my current boat.

What I liked about the Regal was it had a 5.7LEFI and that thing would fly across the water (GPS max speed with 2 people on mine was 57.5mph). Cruising at 3,000 rpms it would move at 36mph with my family of 4, and at 3,500rpms it would go 42mph and was very good on fuel usage.. IIRC it would burn 7-8 gals. an hour. What I didn't like was that the step haul was a bit too aggressive IMO and if you look at the newer models you can see they did tame it down a bit. In a lake it's a great boat, in the river it can be great on calm days but was a rough ride when the water was not so great.

Those are docking lights. they work great at the dock but you can not see anything on the water away from it.

Here is a picture of mine. It had the camper package which included a grill, sink in the cockpit with a 8 gal holding tank, table with a reversible captains seat and the bimini top with side curtains. Cuddy was pretty standard with two seats that make into a bed that sleeps two with a porta potty.

You don't use them to turn, you use them to keep track of traffic behind you. Both my boat and PWC have mirrors from the factory, and I'd have a hard time going back to something without. Unless you are checking every 5 seconds behind you, the mirror is far superior to cranking your head around constantly.

a few years ago when we were boat shopping Regal had tailights in the stern of the boat. They were wired into the trailer lights and added additional visiblity.

I'm wondering if they are as useless as the mirrors on my PWC and snowmobiles too. Too much pounding, never stay adjusted anyways. Seems like you would be better off with a standard ski mirror.

They are fixed and do not adjust.

Got them on my snowmobiles also... Never had a problem with them moving, if you crank them down. There is usually a tension adjustment screw on the back, I get them positioned to where they need to be, and then crank them down to where they can't easily move. The one on the boat is on a flexible arm, never had a problem with that one, even when my boat is spending about 1/2 the time not touching the water.

I wonder if the mirrors fold in at the car wash.The headlights look like they would only make glare visible.Finally a boatcar i was wondering if someone would do this,it needs wheels and i would drive it proudly.I would have to roll down those side windows though.

They both did build a boatcar and still do.

Fuuny I should run across this thread, I was just at a marine shop and saw a 2000 Regal with the mirrors as well, and kind of shook my head, then I noticed the lights etc. I have dock lights which I use, but these looked more like little HID.....oh well, but that window down the side....is that a power window so you can roll it down? To me it is a tad much if it doesn't. Here is a link to the one I looked at yesterday.

The mirrors on my JetSki stay put, but they are still about as worthless as could be. The PWC's bounce/move too much with the waves for them to be of any real use for seeing behind you/watching towables. A nice wide-view ski mirror works better than anything on a boat. Yes, the Regal does look similar from the side-profile to the Bayliner Capri model from the early 90's.

I had a 1998 2100LSR. The mirrors are handy in a busy channel. The docking lights are very handy for the last 50 feet coming home when it's a moonless night. They do indeed have rear directionals and brake lights, but they only function while trailering.

The LSR/LSC boats of the 1997-2002 era were designed by David Livingston. He had previously designed boats for Bayliner, so a resemblance to older Bayliners would be pretty easy to explain.
