Well, I pulled the trigger on a 1996 Glastron
GS-185 this weekend. Found the boat on an eBay auction that didn't meet their reserve price, but was able to come to terms after talking with them.

Like I said, its a 1996 Glastron GS-185, it has 92 total hours, and the Mercruiser 3.0L 4 Cyl. Motor is mint as are all the seats, custom cover, Ez Loader Roller trailer, etc. It has the sport seating, which was a must have for me, and runs like new. Paid $6k, and think I got a bargain for the condition its in, especially since its spring. I had to drive from IA down to Table Rock, MO to get it, but it was worth it.

Glad to be done shopping and back out on the water!
eBay Auction Listing

Nice boat. Good luck with it.

How do you uknow it has 92 hours if the seller states it has no hour meter?

Yeah, admittedly thats a rough estimate from the owner & his son-in-law...they were saying it didn't have 90 hours on it when we took out on Sunday, and ran it for 2 hours...so I'm basing that on faith for the most part.

The engine is clean as a whistle, all black with no rust, or paint flaking off. Everything is else was as stated, so I've no reason to think it isn't as he stated.

Based on the overall condition, and everything, it can't have a lot of hours on it, so you got me...the hours are really unknown, but it has to be very low regardless.

I do need to add an hour meter so I can keep track of my usage from this point on.

I wasn't trying to bust your nuggets, I was just curious. Even if it had 192 hours it's still a nice boat. Again best of luck with it, and yes I definitely recommend an hour meter so you can keep track of things like oil life, filters, etc.

Have Fun!!

Sounds like you did OK. I used (REALLY USED) my folks early 80's Glastron 175 SSV when I was a teenyager. Was an awesome boat. Total quality.
