Hello again...I posted a week or so ago, stating that I had water in the lower unit...After digging into the lower unit, I found the leak...I took the prop off, and found oil in the cavity behind the prop. Bearing housing. When I put the bearing housing back, I put a new "O" ring in, and new bolts. I also put some gasket seal around the housing before I bolted it on. It is not leaking around the shaft, where I also put some new seals in. With out taking the housing out again, cuz it will probably leak again, how can I seal the thing up? I was thinking of putting some kind of sealer/epoxy around the edge to seal it up....Any help would be appreciated ....Dan<br />1974 70hp Johnson

I wouldnt add anything, especially thinking of how many years it held up like that, from 1974 to now. Just leave is and keep and eye on oil. Happy boating
