I have a new 115 Johnson and for the last 3 times I went to go out I've found the motor in the down position and a dead battery. I pulled the boat yesterday and discovered the problem. While securing it on the trailer the trim/tilt came on by inself. The motor was in the trailering position and did not move but the trim/tilt would not go off. I tried pushing the botton on the speed control but no response. I had to disconnect the battery .Does anyone have any ideas what would cause this and a fix. Any help is truely appreciated. Thanks !

If it is a 60 degree 2 stroke, check the T&T switch on the side of the engine. Probley should check all of the switches, they are not water proof.

Like Clanton says check the TnT switch on the engine . They have been know to be bad. To check this try using your hand and tap and slap the cowl around it to see if it works on it own .
