We went for a trip down by the dam today, I had been there once before but the river was higher than today. Almost dead in the middle of the river down by the sea wall we took the first hit. I turned left and made attempted to circle what i had hit to get around it and make way back up river. That did, and didnt work out. We hit about 4 more times, two were worse that first and the third total hit was the topper. As luck would have it just the out drive that hit, not the hull. Lost about 3" of the skeg and 1/2" of the prop. I trimed up as far and fast and as I could at the first hit. Probably a good thing as the next ones were worse.
We idled back to the dock and assessed the damage. Not to bad. Decided to go up river a bit just to see if there was any other damage.
I did notice now when i trim up about half way it gets a vibration and will slow the boat down. I guess this could be due to the prop damage but I am not sure.
Any one have an idea why?
I do have new prop to install. Its the exact one I had on, got if off flea bay when I got home.
Here is a pic of my disgrace.
