I've never thought the Four Winns were bad lookin' boats, and they are built well. But I'm leaning to the Glastron on this gig. Here in TN, the cabin of that Winns would be a torture chamber without the AC.

The Four Winns seems a little tighter inside, but I like the layout. You could add AC with the 3K you are saving. The Glastron doesn't show a picture of the shower so I can not compare those. I think that both are good looking boats but like the lines of the four winns best. For me it would come down to a sea test and which one ran and handled better.

Maybe I'm weird, w/o no pics of engine, outdrive, bilge, engine hours and HP of the 5.7's, plus some closeups of the hull I can't make any recommendations. Comparable Glastrons not as clean and detailed are going for 19K w/o trailer and, nice ones up to 29K. Personally would be interested in it's history and a marine survey to see why is priced at 18K.

Nothing hidden in the Glastron they aren't desirable here so sell for low prices. This one is truly mint.

AC and a DP drive make this decision easy. The first time you try and back a DP drive into a dock slip you understand part of the advantage of owning one.
I have always hated the door to the cabin on those FW cruisers. The sliding door on the Glastron is much easier to work with.

There is wood encapsulated stringers in the Glastron BTW. The 258 Vista of that vintage has a history of mysterious leaks around the port lites, anchor locker and transom area. Look it over good and have it surveyed if you go that route. Normally I would choose the FW, having owned a 268 Vista for 6 years. In this case, the Glastron would be my choice with the DP and newer year.
Agreed, both are fugly designs.
