FREEZE PLUG REPLACEMENT

I have a 1990 seaswril with 5.0l ford 302 OMC i have a freeze plug that has rusted out and it now leaking water how would I go about fixing it with out taking the engine out its unfortunately the one behind the engine mount (here’s a terrible photo)49CE73A4-7A06-4E2F-863F-A56395B34E2C.png

You can get ones that are a Hunk of round Neoprene and can be expanded by tightening a Nut on them
Odd that it Rusted, Marine Engines don't use Steel Core Plugs, older ones used Bronze/Brass ones, and more recently Stainless Steel.

I would look closely. Looks like the core plug was pushed out (fresh metal scrapes)

Agree with Jim, marine engines use brass and stainless core plugs.

I would like too hope so but it looked like rust to much I’d have to get a better picture

I would agree with both I’ll have to take a better look was more concerned with getting off the water as anyone would the bilge pump also took a crap so I’ll have to fix that as well.

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,..... Pullin' the motor would be the easiest route,.....
Otherwise, Pull the drive, then lift that side of the motor, pull the motor mount, then drive in a new core plug,....
