fresh / closed water full or half system

I just bought a 2003 Maxum 2100 SC 5.0 Alpha 1 leg with fresh water cooling.

My question is "does this look right?" My last 5.7 was fresh water as well and a half system, so when I went to unscrew the manifold drain on this one, I found coolant to my surprise!! So Im guessing its a full system, there is a hose on the top that is not a heater hose and seems to be empty. I dont know anything about the history of the boat or motor so I dont know if it was professionally installed or if its a bit of a hack job.
Ill attach a picture and hope someone can help :)

engine block and manifolds appear to be FWC ,riser would be the discharge from the heat exchanger.
If that "hose" has a covering on it and is metal, and goes from the front of the manifold to the intake manifold
its the hot exaust supply to heat the intake manifold.

Thanks, its not metal, its a "water discharge" type hose, not rigid, more like a fuel hose than any heater hose Ive seen. Its the one on top left and goes into a 3 way fitting on the top of the block.

Any clue where the temp sensor is on a 5.0l?

red : discharge from exchanger ,goes to risers
green: pcv

Alright we're getting somewhere, after contorting every bone in my body I traced the lines and you're right.
So it looks as though there is no pick up from the leg, only the under boat pickup, discharge through the leg.

How the He!! do I run this boat in the driveway then? Is there some sort of suction cup unit that anyone knows of that attaches to an underboat pickup or do I have to start digging a hole with a boat launch in the back yard;)??

there is a suction cup on a stick that sorta just jams in there. inspect the hoses from the thru hull . see if there is a flushing T or adaptor between the hull fitting and the pump.if there is , and it accepts a garden hose,you shut the seacock off and use the hose. just remember to reopen the seacock valve and close the flush valve. there should be a strainer inline also. sometimes you can remove the hose, insert the garden hose into that hose, and run the engine that way.

The strainer is on the bottom of the boat, hopefully thats enough? Looks like 1/8" gaps between each ridge. There is no t fitting on the line as its basically intake, seacock, then hose in a U shape under the engine to the water pump. I guess Ill plumb in a brass T fitting along the line somewhere. Now to find out if I fried the impeller.

Volvo uses a similiar setup to flush. a piece of hose with a female end and screwcap.drawback is if the cap gets loose or not tightened down it starts sucking air. I would install a T in the line ,then a shutoff for the hose, then the hose long enough to be kept in a conveniant location.
to use, close seacock, open T valve, connect hose.

Would I need to install upstream (before the pump)? Or can I put it on the section where the red arrow is. I think I just answered my own question :) If thats discharge it would need to be before the pump I suppose
