Fresh Paint on the old Johnson... The start of the pirate boat :)

[Mnemonic]

Just finished the last coat of marine grade poly on the motor... Here's the final result of the start of "The Pirate Boat"... the rest of the boat theme will be skull & crossbone flags off the stern, Skull Fixtures all over the boat with red lights in the mouth, 2 pretty big (non functional) cannons on the bow.<br /><br />(yea, the coast guard are gonna love me)<br /><br />

Cool, be sure to keep us updated with pics as you get further along. And let us know what the CG says too. That will at least give me an idea of what they might say in regards to the fake Apache helicopter style missiles and gatling guns that I'd like to add to my boat

More pics of the motor... looks crappy right now with wet polyurethane on it, but it will get better after a quick sand and buff.<br /><br />

I heard that rac ing stripes add 10 mph to the top speed. ARGGG Matey. Looks good but as you say it needs a rubdown.

Only racing stripe vinyl stickers add 10mph <br /><br />I acctually painted those stripes with fine line tape.... was acctually a real pain in the ***. hehe
