Well.. My first year home and living in said cottage was OK, except for some bugs. I am on the concrete floor right on the ground.. I would spray every so often for Wolf spiders, brown spiders, ants, millipedes and what ever else would seem to make in the house.. We even had a service and the spray wouldn't work also. The sprays make me sick, so I heard that Frogs make great bug eaters.. So the following year while doing some gardening I found a frog in the ground. Brought the toad in the house and put him in a dirt clay pot and covered it for a couple of days. After that I took the top off the pot and that night the frog came out and hopped around the house all nite and just as the sun came up he when back to that pot and couldn't get in it. So I hear this cratching sound of the frog trying to get back into the dirt pot.. Got up and put him in it and he dug his way down in the dirt. That night I put a step next to the potso he could get back in.. That nite I'm watching TV and I look over and there is the frog on the floor watching TV with me.. He stayed for about 20 minutes and moved on through the house looking for bugs.. The next couple of days I found 2 more and added them in the pot also. I had them at least a month, I was almost bug free at least with those millipede bugs.. I let the frogs go in the spring and they stayed in the yard for about 2 season's.. I didn't know that they could wipe out bugs like they did and I stopped getting headaches from the pest master sprays..
The following 2 years I did the frog thing and I had been millipede free for about 5 years..
It sounds crazy having frogs running around a house, but in this case it worked for me..
For some reason they liked the TV at nite.
Quite intertaining watching them walk across the floor too..
