from 470 to 4.3L V6

1982 REGAL 27 FOOT, WANT TO CHANGE OUT THEM TWIN 470, WHAT IS THE BEST ENGINE TO REPLACE THOSE WITHOUT HAVE TO MAKE too much changes some one told me to use 4.3L V6 ANY INPUT will me great thanks. just caunt bother with them 470. thanks

youd have the same horsepower...why not take the money youd spend on that and trade your boat in on another? If you DONT do the work yourself your probably looking at 8-10 grand..(unless you find used) Take your boat and half of that and buy another boat.only a opinion..

Rod-Knocking has a Valid Point....<br />Yes, It Can be Done....<br />But, It'll be Expensive....<br />Wider motors, Different motor mounts/ Stringers, Wrong gear ratio,+ on,+ on....
