All iboats members.
Would like to take this opportunity to wish each and everyone of you the merriest of holidays and the happiest of new years.

2007 has been a trying year here at iboats.
Server changes along with some Mod changes has made it quite interesting to say the least.
Thanks for hanging with us through these times.

Some members have left and that is sad to see, but maybe they will come back because they are a part of this community also.

It is you members that keep us going.
You might not see eye to eye with us on some things, but you have to remember that we, although not paid, still have someone to answer to, iboats management.
They do gives us pretty much the full reins in the forums, but they still have the final say in the matters.

Like to say thanks to all the "old timers" for helping out the "newbies" as they come on board.
Yea, I know, the search feature would be a great tool if they would use it but they come here looking for quick answers to a question sometimes already ask a 100 times, but you all keep giving them the same great advice just like you have the other 100 times.

To the members that hang out with us down here in the cellar.
You have made us laugh, scratch our heads and sometimes beat the computer screen at some of your all's threads and/or replies.
Yep, some are edited or deleted and we would hope by now you would know why they were.

To the one's that have reported posts, thanks. It sometimes makes our job easier as all 8 of us can't be on here all the time and while we try to catch them all, it is just no possible sometimes and the report a post option really helps out.

Ok, I will hush now cause I'm sure you don't want to listen to me anymore.
From the Mod Squad to you, Merry Christmas and a Happy New year.

Re: From the Moderation Team to............

Well, I personally miss civil discussions of controversial topics. Banning politics, religion and others has probably been the biggest change and the biggest trial for we moderators this year.

However, I recognise that our country is so bitterly divided that those topics invariably degenerate into personal, hostile battles. iboats management is firm that they will not allow wars on their message boards, so no more politics, etc.

So, anyway, I wish the Merriest of Christmases to my Christian friends and happiest of holidays to the rest. Happy New year to all.

Me too: JB! I thought you folks had it real close ta right just before mid September. That said: I'm jus' along fer the ride here.

Even though you folks will not let me cause trouble down here any more, this is still a very good boating site for all!! Merry Christmas n' Happy New Year to all!!! Respectfully, JR

Some left voluntarily, and I'm an example of one that came VERY close to leaving involuntarily!

Thanks for giving me another chance, tashasdaddy!

This is still a great site. It may be less exciting, but for the better. Keep it clean Moderators.

And thank you all who help with the questions. You are great help.

Merry Christmas to all,
Mark

Well I am glad to hear that JB misses some of the controversy as well . . . Good stuff Les, as always.

I am going to be leaning hard on some more experienced woodworking members in 2008; I definitely get a lot out of this place. Thanks to the mod squad and members for putting up with whatever buttons I may push.

Merry Christmas to all,

Kevin

Well Done Mods! I just want to say Merry Christmas, and, or Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year to all here. I am also very thankful of all the personal help, & knowledge, I've gained since joining this forum not long ago. I try to pay it forward in gratitude, by offering what I know, and what I've learned over the years, and here. Peace to all, Mike D.

Re: From the Moderation Team to............

I also say well done Mods. And to coin a quote of Gerry Spencer's over at AOMCI,

"Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, our best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all.

We also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2008, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great.

Not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country nor the only America in the Western Hemisphere. And without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee. By accepting these greetings you are accepting these terms.

This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for herself or himself or others, and is void where prohibited by law and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher.

This wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first, and warranty is limited to replacement of this wish or issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher."
