I have replaced the block with a new and cannot figure out the the right side of the motor mount. The left side is fine there is not a bracket on the other side to attach. Can anyone find a diagram of how this is supposed to be attached. I have looked all over the internet and in the manual. This is the driver side of the motor....

PLEASE help me!

mine looks similar. the right side bolts directly to the block. the left side (shown above) bolts to the block, but there is a thick spacer that the bolt pass through.

On my 140 the starboard mount bolts directly to a flange that is part of the block.

Re: front motor mount for inline 6 chevy

I just did the same thing what i did was put the mount on ( the alternator side line it up so the bottom ear on the mountis against the block there is two holes in the mount.hole on the hole farthest from the front of the engine drill into the block and tap it. on the hole closest to the front there is a large 5/8 hole in the block I made a bushing (have a lathe) that reduced it to 3/8 then drilled and tapped the mount. you may have to shim between the mount and the block because the mount doesnt fit flush against the block around .025 of an inch. check this before you torque the bolts down or you may snap the ear off.

Re: front motor mount for inline 6 chevy

sounds like the block does not have the correct casting. Most car blocks did not have this. chevy vans and chevy II s used blocks with this casting.Motors got to come back out.
