FROZEN MERC/SAT FOR 6 YEARS

Need alittle help, have 115/Merc/115hp, possibly 1979. Tried to turn flywheel over, nothing won't move, whats the 1st thing I should do to get it turning, thanks<br />Jim

91,<br /><br />It could be as simple as the water pump impeller frozen in the pump housing. Or, it could be the engine is locked up.<br /><br />For scenario #1, drop the lower unit to be sure.<br /><br />Scenario #2, fill the cylinders with fogging oil and let it sit. Although I do not expect much from high powerred outboards that have been frozen up.
