Re: Frsh and salt water use
Yup. No such thing as a "fresh" or "salt" water boat really. Although, marine vessels will tend to have more corrosion resistant hardware to combat salt/sea water and air. Just be mindful that the ocean is A LOT different from your local lake, or river. There are many factors at work at sea that you need to be mindful of (wind, wave, tide, current, traffic, etc...). Anodes are a great idea if the boat is going to spend a lot of time in the water, and you'll definitely want to flush the motor after every use and hose down the boat and trailer to remove any excess saltwater. Best part of the ocean is that there is (usually) plenty of space for every one and you can beach the boat hop out, mess around, then hop back in shove off and head on down the beach. Lots of fun fishies in the ocean too, and most of them bite back, which keeps you on your toes. Holler if you're gonna be in the Panhandle area and I'll give you some cool places to go check out. Be prepared, Be safe, have fun. Cheers and Bienvenidos a la Florida!
