it is worse than you think, consider the tax they take at first, sales tax on anything you buy and most of the price of any product you buy is tax, the materials supplier paid tax, the truck, plane, or train that moved them paid tax, the manufactuer paid tax, the seller paid tax, the employers all along the way paid tax, if it is something expensive there is an annual tax, heck boat gas is probably 40 cents a gallon before taxes. all in all I figure 99 percent of what I earn goes to tax when you think about it

IMHO the problem with North America is there are too many tax loop holes.We don't need any more taxes,we just need to close the loop holes and level the playiny field.The rich ***** about paying for the poor,but in reality they have enough loop holes that they don't even pay as much tax as the middle class.So quit you whinning and pay up.

I must say that I respectfully disagree with your keen analysis.

I suffer from CRS these days, but isn't the truth something like the top 1% pay 60% of the taxes. I'm sure my no's are wrong but you get the idea.

The problem is that the bottom 40% pay NO taxes at all. The middle and lower class is the root of the problem as far as loopholes is concerned. Have 8 kids and you get enough deductions that you pay no tax.

Everyone should pay their fair share. Even wellfare people should have to pay something, even if its only 1%.
