1978 Glastron model ssv-176,
This could be a great boat with a little work or willing to part out if anyone is interested
the Good:
Mercrusier 470 inline 4 cylinder I/O w/-+ 140 hours runs excellent
new $400 starter installed this spring
stainless prop in excellent shape
window glass in excellent shape
New battery this spring.
Trailer in great shape and ready to pull this boat anywhere.
good exterior fiberglass (needs a good buff and wax)
the bad:
Needs new seats and interior. 29 years in the sun will tear up any boat interior.
transmission cables need rework/replacemtent. just doesnt' shift transmission from controller (can do it manually from engine compartment)
Some gauges don't work and need replacement.
the ugly:
soft spot in deck. approximately 2'x2' that need plywood replaced and epoxied.
Hey... what would you expect out of a old boat.
bottom line.. everything can be fixed with some time and a little money.
I just don't have the desire to repair at this point.
