I have been dealing with Merc so I am not sure about what to do with this. The attached picture I assume is my fuel adapter but I am not sure how it works. Thanks

Re: Fuel Adapter

Look at the connector on the end of the fuel line, it just snaps on the fitting.

I have the same connection on mine but next to it was a regular barb fitting...is it ok to use that...my hose doesnt have the fitting required to attach...permanent tank under floor and old motor was Force which just connected to the barb.

Re: Fuel Adapter

Bigdaddy08302, does your engine have oil injection, a seperate oil tank. You should buy the correct hose end for your fuel line.

Re: Fuel Adapter

nope...no oil injection...what would the difference be if the fuel is getting to the carbs? I guess what I mean is does that connector have a purpose other than a way for the fuel to get to the motor...does it regulate flow or something?

Re: Fuel Adapter

It's just a connection, it does not regulate the fuel flow.

Re: Fuel Adapter

Make sure you don't have VRO oil injection. That is what the barb is for.
