Fuel additive?

I have seen people remark that they use an additive that keeps the ethanol from destroying their fuel lines. Is there really an additive like that and what is is called? Around here it would be about as hard to find alcohol free gas as it would be to try to find a working gold mine. So it looks like an additive would be the way I would need to go.
Anybody know what that additive is called?
I don't mind spending a little more for higher octane but I wonder if that just increases the alcohol content.

You heard this on the internet right....lol
The life expectancy for a fuel line is 10 years tops. Mfg. recommend changing at 6 yro.

Most complaining of E10 destroyed their fuel lines are using hose well past it's experation date.

Octane is a combustion retardant. Actually makes the fuel less volatile to prevent premature detonation in high compression engines.
Throwing money out the window would have the same effect.

I haven't heard of any additive, just make sure to use coast guard approved marine fuel hoses and you'll be fine.
