Hello,
Let's introduce my self. I am Michel Verbruggen, alias Mish, 35 years old from the Netherlands.

First a great compilment for this site and members! I can find a lot of information.

I have a question;
I just bought an Yamaha F100 4-stroke from 1999. I had allready a console boat 5,10 meter (= 17 foot and 470 kilogram). Gasoline is in Holland very expansief (almost 6 dollars for a Gallon). I am currious how much the fuel consumption is when the motor make 1200-1400 rpm? :confused:

Maybe there is a site or something. At Yamaha I can find when the motor running at 4000-5000 rpm.

Thanks, Mish

Re: Fuel consumption Yamaha F100 4-stroke

A simple and fairly reliable indicator of fuel consumption for any engine is to move the decimal point one position left. 100 HP = 10 gallons/hour. 200 HP = 20 gallons/hour. Those are wide open throttle ratings and obviously will vary depending on hull design, load, hull condition, etc. Operating at lesser RPM will obviously decrease consumption. Visit the Yamaha web site and view their performance tests. You can specify a particular boat and HP and if they tested it, a full fuel consumption and performance chart and technical detail is available.
