So I had my carb off to clean it and I had to take the fuel filter assembly off my Yamaha f15seha to get at the bolts holding the carb on. I've had the boat out twice since doing the carb with no issues. Sunday I went up river and then down and was making it back into the creek. Was at wot and it sort of popped and died. It was full of gas so I ended up trolling back to the ramp. Didn't mess with it til yesterday morning after smelling gas. Evidently the fuel filter assembly was loose and ended up maybe holding on by a thread.. it leaked 2 gallons of fuel before realizing it was barely hanging on... I got the it tightened back up and cleaned up all the gas.. the motor is back to running and no leaks or issues. But not sure if it was just loose and ended up working it's way all the way off or possibly it built up too much pressure and blew off. The threads don't seem stripped and screwed back on... Maybe my vent on the tank since it kept feeding fuel all night. The primer bulb was soft and wouldn't pump when it did it but I seen the fuel at the back of motor...
