Fuel filter for 2010 Evinrude 115 horsepower ETEC

What are the advantages of having an after market inline fuel filter/water separator. I don't really know that much about them and would like some advice.

Thanks,

With the "wonderful" ethanol fuel we now have, a water/seperator filter is a great idea. If you can, get a Racor. They have a plastic bowl in the bottom of them where you can check for any water in the fuel and you can drain any water out without removing the filter.

Water can blow the tips off fuel injectors, they cost over $250 each plus labor.

Doesn't this motor already have a water separating fuel filter?
