fuel filter/strainer for 40hp yamaha 4 stroke

I need a new fuel filter for my 2001 40 hp 4 stroke. I found the part number for a Yamaha filter 65w-24251-02 or -10. Is there an after market filter that will work since I have to go fifty miles to a dealer and they want $22 plus $20 for a currier delivery.

buy the water/fuel separator from Walmart for $25, mount it on your transom and you will eliminate most all dirty fuel related problems. Of course, be sure to use a fuel stabilizer like Sta-Bil or Seafoam and the Yamaha Ringfree and you should be home free on fuel issues. Good Luck!
