Fuel Filter

Hi All

My Mercruiser 3.0 Alpha One 2007, Does not have a fuel filter between the tank and the Pump.

Is this really needed and how would one install?

Boats with a 3.0 Merc do not come from the factory with an installed fuel water seperating filter.

A dealer or previous owner may or may not have installed one, typically, most don't unless you ask for it.

If you never ever have fuel problems, then you don't need one. If you've ever had a fuel problem, then you definitely need one.
On the whole, it is good idea to have one. No such thing as the fuel being to clean.
The instructions to install it come inside the box for the F/W Sep kit.

With todays E-fuels, and boats spending a lot of time not being used, yes they are necessary.
