There's a filter inside the current mechanical pump. And in the carb Inlet. So I can just remove the clear filter someone put in before the carb, replace with a solid line. And all is good?
Ayuh,..... That's the ticket,..... a 3/8" auto brake line can be used to build the new hard line,...
Many of the old 4.3ls with the mechanical fuel pump were like yers,...
I'd still put a canister type fuel filter, 'tween the tank, 'n the fuel pump though,...
They're great diagnostic tools for findin' water, 'n crud in the fuel,...
You also probably won't need to change the filter elements in the fuel pump or carb ever again either,....
